The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations has implemented a number of initiatives designed to improve the survey process and formulate more customer-focused a activities. These include a simplified 1997 Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Home Care, the Orion Project, laptop computer support, and efforts to work with payors and managed care organizations. This session will provide an overview of these initiatives and the impact of the initiatives on Home Care.
