Pediatric Polysomnography: Please Don't Wake the Baby!

The appropriate equipment and format for pediatric polysomnography will be discussed. Special techniques will be emphasized for the collection of appropriate data to diagnose sleep disordered breathing referable to children and adolescents. The therapeutic interventions including both surgical and nonsurgical will be discussed with special emphasis on the approach to patients with chronic tracheostomy and patients in need of nonsurgical therapy for obstructive sleep apnea.
