The Beta Receptor

The bronchodilator effect of Beta-agonists can vary significantly among patients with asthma. The primary objectives of this lecture are:
1. To discuss how genetic variation in the b2-adrenergic receptor can affect both disease phenotype and therapeutic responsiveness, and
2. To present the concept of full vs. partial b-agonism and discuss its role in asthma therapy.
