A Five-Year Experience with Decentralization

This will be a two-part presentation. Following the presentation will be a ten minute question and answer period.
Part One - 25 minutes
This part will describe the manager's perspective including: the model that was utilized,
? managing the change,
? how did we track productivity,
? maintaining effective communication in the new model,
? pros and cons as we see it.
Part Two - 25 minutes
This part will review the continuing education and annual competency requirement necessary to implement our new system and will include:
? Respiratory Therapist competency documentation,
? The role of the clinically advanced therapist in education,
? The effect of decentralization on the therapists skill set.
